About Arthur: Following graduation from Lutheran High West, Art attended Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota. In April of 1971 he married Judy Bohl of Wausau, Wisconsin, who is also a graduate of Concordia. He graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education, and received an assignment to serve at St. John Lutheran School in Arnold, Missouri.

Art served St. John congregation for seven years as teacher and youth director. During their time in Arnold, Judy and Art had two sons. Benjamin and Joshua born in 1973 and 1976 respectively. Benjamin was born with severe physical and mental impairments, so Joshua quickly became mom's big helper once he was able to walk.

In July of 1978, Art received and accepted a call to teach at Immanuel Lutheran School in Alpena, Michigan. Following the move, Judy gave birth to their third child, Rachel, in 1979. She quickly stole daddy's heart and became his precious little girl. In November of 1984 Benjamin went to be with Jesus just 2 days following his 11th birthday. We thank God for the many ways He blessed us through Ben's time with us here on earth.

Art served Immanuel congregation for the last 33 years of his ministry serving as teacher, youth director, computer coordinator, and church tech director. He celebrated his retirement on June 10, 2012 and looks forward to serving the congregation in new ways beginning in the fall. He plans to continue to coach the school's ROV (underwater robotics) team which competes at the MATE Great Lakes regional competitions in Alpena, and has gone on to MATE International Competitions in San Diego, CA and Buzzard's Bay, MA in 2008 and 2009.

Art enjoys technology, working on computers and film making. But his favorite activity is spending time with Judy, his children Rachel and husband Brad of Saratoga Springs, UT, and his son Josh and wife Sara, and grandchildren, Abby and Noah of Grand Rapids, MI.

Message to Classmates: God is good! I hope you have been blessed and will have many experiences to share at the reunion. Tom, thanks again for being such a great friend!
