About Barbara: After spending five years at Michigan Bell, Barbara married the love of her life, Dennis Lauer, in June of 1969, celebrating 43 years of marriage in 2012. Barbara is the proud mother of three children and five grandchildren living in California, Oregon and Virginia.
Living in several states on the West coast throughout the years including California, Idaho and Oregon, Barbara has been blessed with a life full of adventure and new experiences. Sailing up and down the California coastline, four-wheeling in the Oregon sand dunes, raising horses, racing cars, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles including a trip to Sturgis, enjoying their son's motocross racing days, their daughter's barrel racing days, hiking, and traveling. One of Barbara's favorite trips took her to the Alps of Switzerland. Barbara even owned her own Harley Davidson Fat Boy and took top awards for her custom paint work. She has enjoyed many motorcycle rallies over the years with her husband.
They successfully owned their own business for 25 years in the plastics industry before retiring. Barbara and Dennis recently returned to Oregon after spending several years enjoying sunny Florida. Barbara's love of math in high school continued throughout her career as she focused on accounting. Barbara stays busy being involved with her family, traveling, hiking, golfing, fishing, camping in the wilderness and enjoying retirement with her husband.
