About Donald: Shar (Adair, LHW 1967) and Bill were married in August of 1967. They have two daughters, Debora and Kimberly. They have 6 grandchildren; Deb has four children and Kim has two. Both girls graduated from Lutheran High School Northwest.

In May 1967, Bill began his career with General Motors as a student-in-training (co-op). During that time he also completed an electrical apprenticeship. He graduated from Lawrence Technological University (known then as LIT) with a BS in electrical engineering. They moved around a few times but spent the last 20 years of Bill's career in Plymouth, Michigan.

In 1996 Shar and Bill decided to do something different. Both daughters were independently established and they were home alone. They had a home built in Suttons Bay, Michigan. In May of 1997, Bill retired from General Motors as an engineering manager and he and Shar moved north to Suttons Bay

During the spring and fall for the last 15 years, Bill has served as a volunteer crew member and instructor teaching limnology on the school ship Inland Seas. They purchased a sailboat in 2000 and spent the summers of the next 10 years cruising the northern Great Lakes. In 2009, they again decided to do something else. They wanted have more time to visit and be visited by the kids and to enjoy more of the local summer activities with friends. They sold the sailboat and bought a couple of Sea-Doos. The kids love them.

They spend their winters cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and traveling.

They are members of the Suttons Bay Congregational Church. The church was built in 1899 and was the first English speaking church in the area. It's a small church with a great minister, excellent music program, and a good congregation.

Sorry, they are not on facebook, TMI for Bill. He has poked around Classmates but has never joined. He says it's good to see all the names.

Message to Classmates: I'm looking forward to the reunion to see everyone together again, something I enjoyed at the last reunion.
