About Sally: After graduating from LHSW, Sally attended and graduated from Concordia Jr. College, Ann Arbor (1968), Concordia Teachers College, Seward Nebraska (1970), and the University of Missouri, Columbia (1987). She taught in Lutheran schools in Evansville, Illinois (grades 1-3 and grades 4-6), Belle Glade, Florida (grade 2), South County of St. Louis, Missouri (grade 3), and Jefferson City, Missouri (grades 1-4). Sally then spent eight years working at the Missouri State Library. After receiving her masters in library science, she taught and was librarian at Helias High School in Jefferson City. For the last 17 years before her retirement she worked for the Poplar Bluff School system - first in junior high and then as a elementary librarian. For the 2010-2011 school year, she was Teacher of the Year at O'Neal Elementary School.

She married Arlon Meyer in 1975 and had two sons, Mark (1977) and Michael (1981). In 1998, she was blessed with twin granddaughters, Zakia and Nikkia. In 2005, Molly and Keona joined the pack. 2008 brought Giavonna and 2012 Natalie joined the group.

This is Sally's first full year of retirement. She spends her time reading, quilting, knitting scarves for homeless in Branson, Missouri and quilting for the Missouri Orphan Train in St. Louis, Missouri. She also enjoys traveling to The Fox Theatre in St. Louis to see the many plays available.
