About Tom: After graduating from Lutheran West, Tom attended the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor (class of 1970). He became involved in the anti-war movement and emigrated to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1969 in protest over US involvement in Viet Nam. The following year he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.

In 1975, Tom became a Canadian citizen. That same year, he was transferred by Sanyo Canada to Prince George, British Columbia as a territory sales manager. Living at the north end of the Canadian Rockies, Tom became an accomplished downhill skier and avid trout fisherman. In 1981, he designed, built and lived in a successful solar heated home in northern Canada. Working for Panasonic Canada, he was flown to Osaka Japan and presented with a Rolex watch by president of Matsushita Electric (parent company of Panasonic) for Outstanding Sales Achievement in 1982. In 1988, Tom attended the Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta. He also crewed in a Hot Air Balloon at the Kodak International Balloon Festival in Calgary, Alberta in 1988.

From 1992-1997, he was the creator, producer and host of the syndicated radio program, Maximum Blues. From 1995-1997, Tom became active in community television where he was the director of the weekly televised City Council meetings and the producer/on-air host of the local TV show, Maximum Blues Presents. In 1996-1997, he was also the on-air host of Plugged In, a locally produced current events TV show. From 1992 to 1997, he served ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) as a Juror for the Juno Awards (Canadian Grammies) in the Blues and Gospel category.

In 1997, Tom moved to San Diego, California. From 1997-1999 he was the Principal of Maximum Blues Talent, a booking agency for touring blues bands; In 2002, he established Welcome Homes-California, a manufactured home and mobile home sales company, where he was a co-owner and sales and marketing manager until 2008.

Not ready to fully retire, Tom is working at the occasional voiceover job and various part-time jobs until he gets bored. Tom is enjoying the southern California laidback lifestyle - sunshine, beach, outdoors, sailing, etc. He is a rabid San Diego Padres fan, active in local blues scene, a Level 4 Donor-San Diego Blood Bank and volunteer reader for blind/sight impaired at AIRS-LA.

Tom was married 1972-1975 and again in 2001-2011. He has no children. Currently legally separated, he lives in El Cajon, CA with his beautiful fox red Golden Lab x Golden Retriever dog and two very cool cats.
