About Donald: After high school Don joined the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic for four years. In 1971, he married Janice Radford and they made their home in Livonia. In 1972, Don started working for Ford Motor Company in the steel division in Dearborn.

They have two children - Allen (1977) and Jennifer Meyers (1979) and five grandchildren - Lily Hale (2004), Allen Hale II (2006), Arleigh Hale (2009), Kylie Meyers, (2005) and Joseph Meyers (2007).

In 2002, Don retired from Ford and he and Jan moved to International Falls, Minnesota. He now enjoys traveling, hunting, and fishing in the summer and winter.
