About Pete: Married to Debbie (Goodgame) Cardeccia in 1983, they are currently living in Kingman, Arizona. Pete has two sons from this marriage, John (1986) and Matthew (1988).
After graduation, Pete attended Highland Park Community College for one year and then transferred to Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan (U.P.) where he finished three years later. In 1970, he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) degree. In September 1970, he started teaching junior high and senior high instrumental music in Marshall, Michigan. ln March 1971, he was then drafted into the U.S. Army where he served until March 1973, when he was honorably discharged.
Upon completion of his military service, Pete returned to school, attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in April, 1973. He graduated in July 1974, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Guidance and Counseling. Pete moved back to Detroit, Michigan, and took a job with Mercy College of Detroit on Outer Drive. In 1975, he became a certified police officer with the Mercy College Public Safety Department and stayed there until March, 1979, when a move to the Mohave County Sheriff's Department in northwest Arizona occurred. In 1985, Pete was hired by a new police department in a newly incorporated city, the Bullhead City Police Department. Pete retired from the law enforcement field in 1999 after a 23-year career.
Pete went of work for Southern California Edison at their Mohave Generation Station security department from 2001 to 2011 in Laughlin, Nevada. Upon the decommissioning of that plant, and the demolition of the structures, Pete again retired (for good, he hopes!).
Message to Classmates: A reunion sounds great! I hope to make the journey in 2016.
