About Bob: Bob dropped out of Lutheran High School West in 1966. He returned to Southfield for summer school 1966 and graduated from Berkley High School in January, 1967. He continued his education at Eastern Michigan University, graduating in June 1972, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Majoring in Accounting.
He worked for The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Detroit Branch; Inmont Corporation; Bendix Corporation; Sycor; Allen-Bradley; TOCCO Corp. and GMAC. He retired from GMAC on July 31, 1999. In 2005, he returned to work at Bank of New York/Mellon and retired from there in March 2010. Although retired, Bob continues to perform contract accounting.
In February 1972, Bob married Diane Butler Smith. They had two children - Kristen, born July 7, 1973 and Robert Jr., born December 24, 1975. Bob also adopted Diane's son, Douglas, born February 11, 1969. Kristen is married to Kevin Frey (12/13/1966) and they have three children, Alex Stowe (11/29/1992), Ashley Frey (8/22/2004), and Nathan Frey (5/14/2008). Robert Jr. was widowed January 2009, and has one son, Mathew (2/10/1998), and a stepson, Steven (4/30/1994). Douglas died on April 4, 2009. He had two daughters, Christina (5/16/1987) and Eternity, born in 2009. Bob became a great grandfather on April 20, 2012, when Alayna Elizabeth Stowe was born. Bob and Diane divorced February 7, 1980.
On June 13, 1992, Bob married Janet Lenz Mracna. Janet had two children from her first marriage, Catherine (3/27/1969), who is single and Christopher (4/27/1976), who married Johanna Graef on August 25 2007. Christopher and Johanna have two children, Mia (1/30/2009) and Cal (1/27/2012). In June 2012, Janet and Bob celebrated their 20th anniversary.
