About Susan: Susan married Walter J. Pociask on June 14, 1969 (her 21st birthday!) They lived in Romulus, Michigan for 16 years before moving to Grosse Ile, where they currently reside. Susan became a mother on April 30, 1975, to a son, Kenneth. Kenneth is married and he and his wife, Andrea, have given Susan two beautiful granddaughters (Abigail (2005), and Allison (2008)). The two girls and Grandma are quite inseparable.

Susan has always been a "people person." She has always had an especially warm spot in her heart for seniors. She has worked for the Grosse Ile Township Recreation Center for 16 years, delivering Meals on Wheels and providing transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, etc. to seniors in her community. Township officials acknowledge that she is probably one of the better-known, and greatly loved, people in the Township, because of her loyalty to those persons who want to maintain their independence as they age.
