About Ginny: After graduation, Ginny attended Harper Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, obtaining her RN in 1968. She also attended U of M, Eastern Michigan and University Toledo over the years majoring in Anthropology but never left her true love: nursing. She worked at Mt. Carmel in Detroit for five years where she met her future husband. She was married to Tom for 21 years. She had two sons, David (32) chef in Toledo, Ohio, and Michael (31) Screenwriter in Chicago. She worked in Ann Arbor from 1973-1979 until she and Tom moved to Dearborn, Michigan, and then in 1988 to Toledo Ohio. She has worked at The Toledo Hospital, Medical College of Ohio and the past 17 years at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She is presently the Admissions Team Leader and manages 14 nurses who are the "first face of hospice" in the Greater Toledo area including Southeast Michigan. In 1994, she committed to a personal partnership with Kathy Keller and together they have a daughter, Charlotte.
Ginny enjoys cooking, entertaining, fishing, THE DETROIT TIGERS, biking and tennis when her knees allow! She and Kathy recently joined The Village Church in Maumee, Ohio, a welcoming mission congregation funded by the Methodist Church and the UCC who believe that all are loved by God. Ginny hopes to work for a long time as she has never tired of the nursing profession. She would, however, like to, eventually, pass the management baton to a younger leader in her organization.
